£7k reward to help find wanted man over death of baby daughter
Emmanuel Sakyi convicted after failing to appear in court
A reward of up to £7,500 is being offered by Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest of a man who has been convicted of the death of his baby daughter.
31 year old Emmanuel Sakyi formerly from Garraways, Milton Keynes, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving. He failed to appear in court.
The crash happened on the 4th of December 2022 when Sakyi's grey Peugeot 508 collided with a green Fiat 500 while he drove on the wrong side of the road and was over the drink-drive limit.
His seven-month-old daughter, Emmanuela, was fatally injured in the crash, having not been secured in an appropriate child seat.
After fleeing the scene, Sakyi was later arrested but has since failed to appear in court and is now wanted by authorities.
He is described as having a medium build, with black hair, brown eyes, and standing around 5ft 3ins tall.
Crimestoppers, an independent charity, is urging anyone with knowledge of Sakyi's location to come forward anonymously.
Beth Simpson, Regional Manager for South Central West at Crimestoppers, highlighted the severity of the case: “This is an appalling case involving the death of a baby girl – even worse, her death was as a result of the actions of her father who was behind the wheel.
“Someone, somewhere will know where Emmauel is located.
“If you have information but don’t feel able to speak to police, you can contact Crimestoppers completely anonymously. We are not the police. We don’t ask for your details, and your information could make a vital difference in achieving justice for Emmanuela.
“Our charity exists to give people a voice without fear. If you have any information, however small it may seem, please come forward and help bring this case to conclusion.”
The reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers, not to the police.
