Police officer charged with rape following Hertfordshire investigation
Mohammad Adil Waheed, aged 23, was arrested on Thursday 4 December 2025 in London
A serving Metropolitan Police officer is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 August 2026 charged with three counts of rape.
It follows an investigation by Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Sexual Offences Investigation Team (SOIT).
Mohammad Adil Waheed, aged 23, was arrested on Thursday 4 December 2025 in London.
He was subsequently charged on Tuesday 28 July 2026 with three counts of rape relating to alleged off-duty offences involving a woman in July 2025.
He is currently suspended from duty.
The force confirms, Waheed is of police constable rank.
