Police launch witness appeal following Hatfield collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision in Hatfield.

It took place at approximately 7.50am yesterday (Monday 7th of September) in Hatfield Park, Hatfield House.

A VW campervan was reported to have collided with a pedestrian and a tent. A man aged in his 40s was seriously injured and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The van's driver has been helping officers with their enquiries.

Sergeant Tim Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision occurred at a time when a number of people were onsite following an event at the venue the previous day."

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information that could assist our enquiries.”
