Detectives are appealing for information after a man was found with life-threatening injuries in Luton.
Police were called at around 8.50pm on Monday to reports of a single-vehicle collision in Beadlow Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the driver, a man in his 60s, had significant injuries believed to have occurred before the crash.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Detective Inspector Stephanie Garfitt said:
“We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances that led to these injuries and appealing to anyone with information, particularly to help us identify where and how the injuries were inflicted.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed a grey Vauxhall Astra in the area around the time of the incident, or who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the vehicle travelling.
“Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial in helping us fully understand what happened.”
