Two swans and five cygnets were reported lost by Riverside Road in St Albans on Saturday afternoon (24th May).

Luckily two local neighbourhood police officers were on hand to help.

Along with the help of local residents, they escorted the flock away from the road and safely back to their home on the River Ver.

In a picture posted on Hertfordshire Police's Facebook, you can see the officers using their hi-viz coats to guide the swans and cygnets down an alley.

A swan-of-a-kind experience for everyone involved!
