Bedfordshire Police have charged an eighth person with offences in relation to a man's murder in Luton.

Yesterday, a 17-year-old male was charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. He will appear at Luton Magistrates Court later today. He was also charged with possession of a pointed/bladed article for a previous incident.

On Friday 24th of July, officers were called to Kingsway Recreation Ground at around 6.30pm to reports of a violent disorder.

17-year-old Bilal Nisar was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner said: “This is another key step in our investigation."

“We are still working to identify anyone else who may have been involved in this incident. If that is you, or if anyone knows who it was, then we are asking you to contact us."

“Our thoughts remain with Bilal’s family.”
