Police arrest two women in Bletchley murder investigation

The women are held over the death of Mohammed Tanveerul Islam

Two women have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice as part of a murder investigation in Bletchley.

The arrests relate to the fatal stabbing of Mohammed Tanveerul Islam on Brooklands Road on 30th July.

The women, who are from Milton Keynes, are currently in police custody.

One is in her fifties and the other in her thirties.

They were taken in for questioning earlier today.

Police inquiries into the matter are continuing.

In a separate development, Shaquill Selyer, a 27-year-old from Frensham Drive, Bletchley, was charged on 6th August with murder, possession of an offensive weapon, and perverting the course of justice.

He has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 9th October.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that specially-trained officers are supporting Mohammed Tanveerul Islam's family during the ongoing investigation.
