Police are appealing for information following a serious collision on the M1 which has resulted in a man in hospital with serious injuries

Police are appealing for information following a serious collision on the M1 which has resulted in a man in hospital with serious injuries.

At around 4.40am today (Wednesday 29 April) a lorry and a Mercedes Sprinter van were involved in a collision near Bricket Wood.

It happened on the M1 Junction 6a slip road, heading onto the M25 at Junction 21 (eastbound).

The driver of the van, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Road closures have now been lifted.

Sergeant Dan Cook, from the Road Policing Unit, said:

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch.

“Additionally, if you have a dash cam fitted then please check it in case you recorded any crucial footage.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has relevant dash cam footage is being urged to contact police.
