Sean Wilcox sentenced to 18 years for multiple offences
A man has been jailed for 18 years for raping a woman in Newport Pagnell.
35 year old Sean Wilcox was convicted after an incident on 26th July last year in Dulwich Close, Newport Pagnell, where he raped a 29-year-old woman as she slept on a sofa in her own home.
Before entering the property, Wilcox attempted to gain access to nearby vehicles, and tried the doors of residences in the vicinity.
His offences extended beyond the rape and included six counts of theft from motor vehicles, three counts of fraud by false representation, three counts of vehicle interference, two counts of burglary with intent to steal, one count of theft from a person, and possession of class A and B drugs.
Wilcox was arrested on 1st August 2025 following a thorough investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Detective Constable Jessica Cooper of Milton Keynes CID praised the victim's bravery throughout the investigation, emphasising the significant impact on her life.
“The bravery and courage shown by the victim throughout this investigation has been admirable," Cooper said.
“No sentence will ever change the impact that this man has had on her life. However, we hope that this sentence provides her with some measure of justice," she continued.
