A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 19-year-old man in Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit responded to an emergency call from the South Central Ambulance Service regarding a man found with stab wounds in Bradwell Common on Sunday afternoon (5 July).

Despite being taken to hospital, the victim later passed away.

The man’s next of kin have been informed, but formal identification and post-mortem examinations are yet to be conducted.

One person has been arrested and is currently in police custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

Detective Chief Superintendent Ailsa Kent, the senior investigating officer, stated: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died this evening.”

The police are keen to speak with anyone who was in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common, specifically near to or in the playground, between 3:30pm and 4:30pm and witnessed an altercation.

Additionally, they are seeking anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from around the redway running parallel to H5 Portway during that time to review their footage and potentially contact the authorities.

Kent emphasised, “No matter how small it may seem, your information could be vital to our investigation.”
