A minute's silence will be held at a shopping centre in Milton Keynes this afternoon (30 March) for a security guard who was fatally stabbed.

52 year old Gary Stanley died on the 28th of February at Centre:MK.

In a social media post, a spokesperson for the shopping centre said a one minute silence would take place at 1:15pm to "honour and remember our friend and colleague".

This coincides with Mr Stanley's funeral.

The post by Centre:MK also said: "We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown by the community over the last few weeks.

"The book of condolence will remain in our Guest Services Lounge until 30 March, after which it will be collected by the family as part of the celebrations of Gary’s life."

50 year old Rory Wilson from Northamptonshire has been charged with murder and possession of a knife in a public place. His trial is due to start in September.
