Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery occurred in Milton Keynes over the weekend.

Between 7.55pm and 8pm on Saturday, 1st August, a 19-year-old man was approached by two males while walking a footpath beside V8 Marlborough Street, behind the Blacksmith Arms pub.

The offenders engaged the victim in conversation before demanding his mobile phone.

One of the suspects revealed what appeared to be a machete tucked into his waistband, prompting the victim to hand over his phone and PIN.

After stealing a blue Apple iPhone 16 Plus, along with a wallet containing a bank card and provisional driving licence, the robbers fled past the front of the Blacksmith Arms pub and into Percheron Place and the Downs Barn play park.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his late teens, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, slim, with no facial hair, dressed in a black Nike Tech tracksuit.

The second suspect is also a black male in his late teens, wearing all black clothing and similar in build.

Police Staff Investigator Barbara Elekes from the Priority Crime Team is urging any witnesses or those who might have captured footage of the incident to come forward.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or seen two males matching these descriptions in the area around the time of the offence, to come forward," Elekes said.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anybody who was in or around the Blacksmith Arms pub, V8 Marlborough Street, Percheron Place or the nearby footpaths and fields between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on Saturday evening."
