Thames Valley Police are appealing for information following reports of rape and attempted rape in Milton Keynes and have released images of a man they wish to identify.

The incidents occurred on redways in the area on two separate occasions: a rape between 8.30pm and 9pm on 9th September, and an attempted rape around 9.20pm on 23rd September.

Both victims, a woman in her thirties and another in her fifties, are receiving support from officers.

Police have conducted extensive inquiries, including house-to-house visits and scoping CCTV footage.

Two men, aged 22 and 19 from Milton Keynes, were arrested on suspicion of connection with the crimes but have been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.

Detective Inspector Graeme Williams emphasised the importance of identifying the individual in the released images, stating the police's commitment to addressing community concerns.

The incidents are not believed to be linked to other offences in the area, and officers will continue patrols and inquiries locally.

Anyone recognising the man in the images, or having relevant information, is asked to contact Thames Valley Police via phone or online.
