A children's charity in Milton Keynes is appealing for assistance after a van they were renting was stolen along with vital play equipment used for community activity.

The Milton Keynes Play Association say it has resulted in a significant setback for them, , particularly affecting their capability to deliver free play sessions and events to local children during one of their busiest times of the year.

Among the items stolen were a bouncy castle, its blower, sports equipment, and various play resources used at community events and sessions.

Although insurance may cover part of the losses, replacing everything rapidly remains a challenge.

The organisation is requesting support from the community to help replace the stolen equipment.

Donations will contribute to acquiring new sports equipment, rebuilding play resources, and ensuring continued free and accessible play programmes for children.

So far £1,765 has been raised out of a £1.8K target.

Milton Keynes Play Association said: "We would be extremely grateful if you could keep your eyes peeled for any of these items being sold online, at car boot sales, or elsewhere, and let us know if you spot anything suspicious.

"Despite this heart breaking setback, we want to reassure everyone that all upcoming play events will continue as planned.

"We are committed to providing play opportunities for children and families throughout the rest of the summer.

We would like to thank everyone for the incredible support, kindness, and encouragement we have received. It means so much to our team during this difficult time."
