A man has been charged with a number of offences in connection with a theft investigation in Milton Keynes.

TJ Lee Draper, aged 20, of Arne Lane, Old Farm Park, Milton Keynes, was arrested on Saturday (12 July) and charged on Monday (14 July) with one count each of theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, battery, and threatening behaviour.

The charges are in connection with a series of motorbike thefts in Milton Keynes between 17 June and 2 July this year.

Draper appeared before Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Monday, when he was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on Monday (21 July).

A second man, aged 20, and from Nottingham, was arrested on Sunday (13 July) on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily arm.

He has been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.
