Police located four men at the scene.

Three of them were found in possession of knives and were arrested along with a fourth man connected to the group.

Samuel Martin, 21, from Peterborough; Joshua Martin, 22, from Luton; and Regan Shand, 21, from Croydon, were charged with possession of a knife in a public place.

They were sentenced at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty on 27th March.

The fourth man, Nyles Whyte, 21, from Dunstable, was charged with possession of cannabis and is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on 23rd April.

Police Sergeant Tom Hughes from the Milton Keynes City Centre Team commented on the arrests:

“Thanks to the vigilance of staff at Centre:MK, who made police aware of this sighting, officers were on scene in minutes and arrests were quickly made.

“Three knives have now been seized and removed from the streets of Milton Keynes. We will continue taking proactive action against those who seek to cause fear or harm within our communities.

“I hope that these sentences show that anyone found carrying knives will be dealt with swiftly and robustly, in line with our zero-tolerance approach to weapon-related crime.”
