Michail Antonio joins Watford on free transfer
The Jamaican international has joined the club from Qatari club Al-Sailiya.
Former West Ham forward Michail Antonio has joined Watford as a free agent.
The 36-year-old Jamaica international has not played a game in England since December 2024, but had a short spell at Qatari club Al-Sailiya earlier this year.
Antonio spent 10 years at West Ham and became their top scorer in the Premier League with 68 goals, but did not play for the club again after breaking his leg in a car accident.
“It’s a good set of boys here,” Antonio told watfordfc.com. “They are focused and ready to show their abilities this season."
“Watford is a big club and hopefully I can come in and bring success and help wherever I can."
“I’ve scored a few goals against Watford. So hopefully I can score some for Watford now when I’m fully up to speed.”
Antonio has signed a one-year deal at Vicarage Road and is waiting on international clearance to feature in the Sky Bet Championship home clash against Stoke on Saturday.
