Man threatened with imitation firearm during 'driving dispute' in Leighton Buzzard
The driver of a BMW reportedly pointed the imitation firearm at the driver of a Mercedes-Benz
Police are appealing for information after a man was threatened with an imitation firearm during a 'driving dispute' in Leighton Buzzard.
The incident happened on Sunday 12th April at around 4pm on the A4146 near the Billington Road roundabout.
The altercation involved a black BMW X6 and a silver Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The driver of the BMW reportedly pointed the imitation firearm at the driver of the Mercedes-Benz.
Following initial enquiries, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.
Two imitation firearms were recovered during the arrest.
He has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
Detective Constable Marcjan stated: "While emotions can run high on the road, there is never any justification for violent or threatening behaviour."
Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly drivers who may have seen the altercation or captured dashcam footage.
