Man jailed for sexual assault in High Wycombe

A man who sexually assaulted a woman in High Wycombe has been jailed for nine years.

39 year-old Anthony Jones attacked the victim on the evening of 16 July 2022.

Detective Constable Sarah Simpson, of Buckinghamshire CID, said: “This conviction reflects the courage and determination shown by the victim throughout the investigation and court process.

“I hope that this outcome provides some sense of justice and demonstrates Thames Valley Police’s commitment to supporting victims of crime and holding offenders accountable for their actions.

“I would like to thank the victim for her courage in coming forward and for the trust she placed in us throughout this investigation.

“Sexual offences have a profound and lasting impact on victims, and I hope this conviction reassures anyone who has experienced a similar offence that they will be listened to, supported and taken seriously.”
