A 20-year-old man has been hospitalised with stab wounds following an altercation in Milton Keynes, Thames Valley Police have confirmed.

The incident occurred around 3pm last Sunday near St Monica’s Catholic Primary School.

It involved approximately six males, according to reports.

Witnesses described possibly seeing a knife or metal pole during the altercation.

The victim, who was in a black Volkswagen Golf, presented himself to hospital with multiple injuries.

His wounds, mostly to his fingers, required plastic surgery.

He also suffered injuries to his armpit and shoulder but has since been discharged from hospital.

The attackers reportedly fled the scene on e-scooters via an alleyway between Coopers Mews and St Monica’s Primary School.

All were wearing balaclavas, making their identification difficult, and the ethnicity of the offenders is currently unknown.

Detective Constable Paul Cushing-Cena, of Milton Keynes CID, summarised the situation as serious but confirmed the victim's injuries were not life-threatening.

The police are now appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the event to come forward.

No arrests have been made yet.
