Man injured as disorder breaks out in Chesham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and disorder broke out in Chesham.
A man with a knife got out of a white Toyota Prius and attacked another man in Britannia Road at around 1.45am yesterday (15 May).
The victim fled to Brockhurst Road, where around 30 people were involved in disorder.
The victim, in his 30s, suffered multiple cuts but has been discharged from hospital.
Police have arrested two men from Chesham, aged 23 and 59. They remain in police custody.
Lead investigating officer Detective Sergeant Simon Nelmes said: “I understand this assault and disorder in the early hours of this morning may be concerning for the community but we believe it was a targeted incident with those involved all known to each other.
“We quickly dispersed the group involved in the disorder and have had officers in the area throughout the day as part of our investigation.
“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information or material relating to what happened to please come forward. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to a uniformed officer.”
