Man in his 20's dies after crash with lorry in Watton-at-Stone

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

A young man has died after a crash with a lorry in Watton-at-Stone.

It happened incident occurred at around 6.20pm on Friday 11th July on the A602 Watton-at-Stone Bypass, just past Mill Lane.

A red Vauxhall Corsa and a lorry were involved.

The driver and sole occupant of the Vauxhall Corsa, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment. He sadly died from his injuries.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Sergeant Luke Jenkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time.

“As part of our investigation, I’d like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the collision or saw the events leading up to it. If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted, please review your footage as you may have captured something that could assist with our investigation.”
