Man dies and three hurt after car leaves the A1 near junction 10
Police want to hear from anyone who saw a black BMW on the road beforehand
A man has died and three other people have been taken to hospital after a car left the A1.
Police were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash at junction 10 of the A1 at around 3.20am on Sunday 6th September.
It's believed the vehicle, a black BMW, had been travelling northbound when it left the road.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people were taken to hospital.
A woman in her 20s was arrested in connection with the crash and has since been bailed.
Officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit are trying to work out what happened.
Detective Constable Lewis Stanley said: "This was a tragic incident which has seen one person sadly die and several sustain injuries.
"We're working to establish what caused the collision and would appeal for anyone who witnessed it, or anyone who saw - or may have dash-cam footage of - a black BMW driving along the A1 just prior to the incident, to get in touch."
