Man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder.

25 year-old Dequarn Williams of Sancroft Close in north-west London was remanded in custody following an appearance at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court.

Police attended an incident on Saturday 29 November following reports of an altercation involving two males in the Vu Lounge in High Street.

A man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a critical condition.

He will next appear at St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday 7 January 2026.

Detective Inspector Lee Martin from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “Our investigations are moving at pace, and I am encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has further information that could assist with our enquiries to come forward.

A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, she has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
