Man attacked by dog in Welwyn Garden City
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man and his dog were bitten in Welwyn Garden City.
Hertfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a dog attack in Welwyn Garden City.
The incident took place on Sunday 19th July in the field behind the wooded area of Moneyhole Lane Park.
At around 10.50am, a man walking his dog encountered an aggressive dog off its lead.
The unleashed dog attacked his dog and bit the man's hand as he attempted to separate the animals.
The attacking dog is described as a light brown bulldog/staffie cross.
The dog's owner was absent during the altercation, although he and his dog had been seen by the victim previously.
The owner is identified as a white male, aged in his 20s, with short dark hair, who was with a friend at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
PC Anne Lopez from the Welwyn Garden City Neighbourhood Policing Team has requested anyone in the area at the time or who may have information to come forward.
