Major fire in Denham damages multiple vehicles and containers
Crews from Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue worked to tackle a large blaze in Denham
Firefighters from Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue have tackled a significant fire on Willetts Lane in Denham which caused extensive damage to multiple vehicles and containers.
At the height of the blaze, crews from across the region and five appliances were in attendance alongside Thames Valley Police.
Vehicles including five articulated lorry units, seven trailers, two cars, and two diggers were all damaged by the fire, with most sustaining total damage. Additionally, three ISO containers were affected, with one completely destroyed and the other two suffering partial fire and smoke damage.
Firefighters deployed a range of equipment to extinguish the fire, including breathing apparatus, ground monitors, main jets, and hose reels. A water shuttle was also established during the response efforts.
Teams from Amersham, Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Slough, and other locations across Bedfordshire and nearby areas provided assistance at the scene.
The response began to scale down at approximately 4.40am on Monday, 29th December, with one appliance remaining on-site. Crews are set to monitor the area throughout the day to manage hotspots and dampen smouldering debris.
Thames Valley Police were also present during the incident.
