The family of a 17 year old who died after being stabbed in Luton, have paid tribute to him, calling him an "amazing brother, son, uncle and friend."

Police responded to reports of a fight between two groups of teenagers at Kingsway Recreation Ground last Friday.

Bilal Nisar was stabbed during the altercation and later died in hospital from his injuries.

Bilal's family expressed their sorrow and appreciation, stating: "Bilal was an amazing brother, son, uncle, and friend to us all. His kindness, sense of humour and unwavering loyalty were qualities that would light up any room he walked into."

They further added: "He had a bright future ahead of him, but we cherish the memories he has left us with. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdous. Ameen. Indeed, to Allah we belong and indeed, to Him we shall return."

Teenagers charged and ongoing investigation

Four teenagers have been charged in connection with the incident.

Three were charged with murder, violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon and appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where they were remanded into custody.

A fourth boy was charged and is due to appear in court today.

Three other teenagers have been released on bail while further investigations continue.

Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with Bilal’s family at this difficult time."

The police are seeking assistance from the public as they continue their investigation, looking to identify three men believed to have been at the scene.

Anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage related to the incident is urged to come forward.
