Four people have been arrested and a suspected brothel in the South Town area of Luton has been closed, after police executed a warrant at an address.

Luton Community Policing Team said officers from the South and East Community Team attended the address on CONFIRM DATE to execute a Section 8 warrant.

Police said they obtained the warrant following reports of anti-social behaviour and intelligence received from the local community.

They said the warrant was executed because the address was being used as a brothel.

Three women and one man were found inside.

The three women were arrested on suspicion of managing a brothel.

The man was arrested on suspicion of paying an exploited person for sex and possession of an offensive weapon.

All four were also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Police said officers have since obtained a full closure order for the address.

They said the order helps protect the local community, prevent further criminal activity and safeguard people who may be vulnerable.

Luton Community Policing Team said information from the public was instrumental in enabling officers to take action.
