Luton RunFest returns with thousands of runners taking to the streets
The town is hosting a half marathon, 10k and 5k routes
Love Luton RunFest returns to Luton town centre today (11 October) with thousands of people lacing up their trainers to take part.
Now in its 13th year, the event brings together runners of all abilities across the half marathon, 10k and 5k routes.
The courses are the same as those used in 2025, and all three races start and finish in the heart of Luton town centre.
Following feedback from participants, Hatters Way is closed between the Telford Way roundabout and the Chaul End roundabout to ensure runners' safety.
Bus services will continue to operate during the event, but passengers will be unable to board from Clifton Road on Hatters Way while the closure is in place.
Motorists have been told that a number of roads across the town centre and wider route will be temporarily closed between 8am and approximately 12:30pm while runners are on the course.
Roads affected include Bridge Street, George Street, Park Street, Guildford Street, Old Bedford Road, Stockingstone Road, Kingsdown Avenue, Manchester Street and Cromwell Hill, together with sections of Castle Street, Church Street, Flowers Way, Park Street West, Reginald Street and Wellington Street.
