Eighth person charged following Luton murder

An eighth person has been charged in relation to the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old in Luton last month.
a 17-year-old male, is facing multiple charges including murder, violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon. The charges were made on Tuesday, and he is set to appear before Luton Magistrates’ Court today, 13th August 2026.
This follows an incident on 24th July where police were called to Kingsway Recreation Ground at approximately 6.30pm in response to reports of violent disorder.
Bilal Nisar was found with multiple stab wounds and was immediately taken to hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner commented on the ongoing investigation, stressing its importance.
“This is another key step in our investigation,” Gardner said. He urged anyone with information about the crime or who may have been involved to come forward.
“We are still working to identify anyone else who may have been involved in this incident. If that is you, or if anyone knows who it was, then we are asking you to contact us.”
Gardner further expressed his condolences to Bilal’s family during this difficult time.
