Luton man charged with child sex offences

A 61-year-old man from Luton has been charged with several child sex offences following an investigation by Hertfordshire Police.

Patrick Joyce, of Hart Hill Lane, was charged on 14th November 2025 with engaging in sexual communication with a child, arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, causing a child to watch a sex act, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The charges relate to offences that occurred in Hertfordshire between 23rd October and 13th November this year.

Joyce appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on 15th November, where he was remanded into custody. He is next scheduled to appear at St Albans Crown Court on 16th December 2025.

Detective Constable Tom Campbell from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Public Protection Command said: “Our investigation is continuing and anyone with any further information that could assist is urged to come forward.”
