The airport says it’s expecting to welcome around 800,000 people throughout the festive period.

It's available seven days a week to between 3am and 3pm can be booked online from four days before departure, right up to 60 minutes before the arrival at security.”

Fully resourced for the festive season

Luton Airport is assuring passengers that there is sufficient staffing to efficiently handle the festive demand. Mr Thompson explained that preparations for peak times start months in advance.

“We always have contingency measures in place to ensure a simple and friendly passenger experience. The operation will be running as normal. We're working closely with all our airlines to ensure that there's additional support where required.”

“We want to deliver the best experience we can for all of our guests travelling through the airport over the Christmas peak period," he added.
