A man has been arrested following the unexplained death of a 33-year-old woman in Milton Keynes.

Officers were called to a home in Nathaniel Close, Shenley Brook End, at around 6.50pm on 6th February, where the woman was found dead.

A 33-year-old man with no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody as investigations continue.

While the woman’s next of kin are being supported, she hasn't been formally identified yet.

Detective Inspector Laura Herrington from Milton Keynes police station explained that the investigation is in its early stages: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the loved ones of the woman who was sadly found dead at an address in Milton Keynes.

"While we have arrested a man on suspicion of murder, the woman's death is currently unexplained and the suspect remains in our custody.

"We are in the early stages of a complex investigation but we are following a number of lines of enquiry to establish in full the circumstances around the death.”

The area around the address is under a scenewatch, and the public should expect an increased police presence while inquiries are conducted.

Inspector Herrington reassured the community, saying: “There is no threat to the wider public but people will see an increased police presence in the area while we investigate; please speak to a uniformed officer if you have any concerns.”
