Hoddesdon man jailed for firearm possession and violent disorder
Clauvin Lokula sentenced to over five years at St Albans Crown Court
A man from Hoddesdon has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison following his conviction for offences related to violent disorder and firearms possession.
Clauvin Lokula, aged 23, was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday, 29th April, after being found guilty of violent disorder and possessing an imitation firearm during a 2025 incident in Hoddesdon.
The court heard that around 10.30pm on Saturday, 27th September 2025, police were alerted to reports of a firearm sighting and gunshots heard in Champions Way.
Hertfordshire Constabulary, including those from the BCH Armed Policing Unit, attended the scene and discovered ammunition cartridges on the street.
CCTV footage later showed that one of the suspects had a Trapstar bag as part of their attire.
Officers executed a warrant on Friday, 3rd October, locating the bag at Lokula's residence alongside Nike trainers and a tracksuit linked to the offence.
Lokula was arrested on 7th October and charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, violent disorder, and three counts of drug supply involvement.
Detective Constable Denny Brandon from East CID commented, “This sentencing sends a clear message. Violent and organised crime will not be tolerated in our communities. Clauvin Lokula brought gang conflict to the streets of Hoddesdon, putting lives at risk and fear in our communities."
Police say a 19-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both from Hoddesdon, were also arrested in connection with the incident, and they remain on bail while enquiries are continuing.
