Two arrests made after stabbing in Hitchin
It follows an altercation in a car park over the weekend that left a man with serious injuries

Police have arrested two people following a serious assault at Hitchin Football Club late on Friday, 26th June.
The incident started around 11.50pm in the car park and extended to Fishponds Road and Butts Close, involving multiple people.
A man in his 30s was stabbed and is currently hospitalised with serious injuries, although they are not believed to be life-threatening.
The arrested individuals include a 21-year-old man, who is currently in police custody, and a 16-year-old boy who has been bailed.
Detective Constable Pete Glover from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is leading the investigation and has appealed to witnesses:
“I am appealing to anyone who was at the football club or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch. Any information you have could help us during this investigation.”
The police urge anyone who witnessed the event or has relevant details to contact them to aid the ongoing investigation.
