Police searching for driver that hit and injured woman in High Wycombe

The woman had been in a crash with another car when she stepped out of her vehicle and was hit by a BMW which fled the scene

A woman in her 20s suffered serious injuries after a crash in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, as police search for the car that hit her.

The incident happened on 2nd February at around 7.25pm when an Audi A3 traveling along Walton Drive was hit by a second vehicle coming from Geralds Road.

After the collision, the driver of the Audi exited her vehicle and was struck by the second vehicle, a black BMW saloon, which failed to stop.

The BMW then drove away along Walton Drive towards Arnison Avenue.

The injured woman required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

PC Matthew Denty from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit is urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

He said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to come forward.

"We would also like to hear from you if you have dash-cam or CCTV footage of the collision, or a vehicle matching this description driving, either before or after the incident.
