Arrest made following stabbing in Hemel Hempstead

An arrest has been made following a report of a stabbing that occurred near Gadebridge Park.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 19 November at around 4.20pm.

A 16-year-old-boy has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody at this time.

Following the incident, a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detective Inspector Jason Finnegan said “I understand that this incident will have caused some concern, and I hope that this arrest will give some reassurance to the local community.

“Our enquiries are still ongoing, and I urge anyone who saw the incident or who was in the area at the time to get in touch with any information you think may help our investigation.”
