The Galleria in Hatfield will welcome the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance team (EHAAT) this weekend as part of national Air Ambulance Week 2025.

The event will take place on Saturday 13 September between 10am and 4pm, and will include CPR demonstrations, opportunities to meet the crew and learn about careers as a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) clinician, as well as children’s activities and games.

The day is free to attend and aims to give members of the community the chance to learn lifesaving skills and find out more about the work of the air ambulance service.

Essex and Herts Air Ambulance is a charity that provides free life-saving support around the clock through helicopters and rapid response vehicles across Essex, Hertfordshire and nearby areas.

Across the UK, 21 air ambulance charities collectively respond to more than 45,000 emergency callouts each year.

Air Ambulance Week is a national initiative designed to raise awareness and financial support for these charities.

Anthony Greener, Retail Manager at The Galleria, said:

“We are honoured to be hosting this event in support of Air Ambulance Week 2025 and welcoming the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance crew to The Galleria this weekend. There will be lots of educational and well as fun activities for all to enjoy on the day. We hope families and the wider community will come along to get involved and see how they can support this national charity, whilst also learning some key lifesaving skills along the way.”
