A teenage boy has been left in a serious condition in hospital following a motorcycle collision near Haddenham in Buckinghamshire.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to an incident taking place near Stanbridge Road between just after 8pm on Tuesday (July 1st).

When responders arrived at the scene, they found that an orange KTM Duke 125 motorcycle had come off the road just after it had crossed a small bridge.

After the incident, the driver sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by emergency services.

Currently, the motorcyclist remains in a serious condition after the crash - and was described by Thames Valley Police as wearing black trousers and a dark blue tracksuit with three white lines running across the shoulders and down the arms.

Speaking on the incident, Richard Minney from Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing Unit said investigations into the crash are now underway.

"Although we do not know the exact time of the collision, we believe it has occurred at some time between 7pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday evening," Minney said.

“I’m appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have witnessed the manner of riding of the motorcycle at around the time of the incident to please get in touch with us. At this stage, we do not believe there to have been any other vehicle involved.

“I would also ask anybody who may have dash-cam footage which has captured the collision or the moments leading up to it to please contact us."
