Pair arrested after stabbing in Great Barford

Two people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Great Barford on Friday, 26th June.
Police responded to calls at approximately 4.20pm reporting a man had been stabbed on the High Street, close to the bridge.
The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalised, though he has now been discharged.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent, making threats to kill, and threats to damage property. He remains in custody for further questioning.
A 19-year-old woman has also been detained on suspicion of assisting an offender and is currently being questioned by authorities.
Detective Inspector Jon Stow emphasised the importance of tackling knife crime and violence, acknowledging the community's concerns and the impact of such incidents.
Stow stated: “Our message is clear - knife crime and violence have no place in our communities...We will continue working proactively with partners and communities...to help keep our communities safe.”
