A man has received a three-year football banning order for offences in Chesham.

Joshua Pulling, aged 28, of Burden Drive, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to one count of going onto the playing area at a regulated football match at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

At the same hearing, Pulling was given the football banning order and fined a total of £365.

On 18 February 2025, Pulling, a Salisbury supporter, entered the field of play after Salisbury scored against Chesham United in the National League South. He jumped over the pitchside barrier and celebrated with players on the pitch before being ejected from the stadium.

Pulling was charged by postal requisition on 14 August this year.

Dedicated football officer PC Jon Evans said: “I welcome the football banning order on Joshua Pulling as it is an offence for any person to enter the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without lawful authority or lawful excuse.

“Supporters entering the field of play put players and officials at risk as, sadly, players and officials have been attacked on the pitch at other fixtures nationally.

“Pulling’s football banning order will prevent him attending any regulated football matches in the country and have to surrender his passport at a police station when England play away. He has also a number of geographical conditions relating to Salisbury and Southampton football clubs.”
