Around 10 flats were evacuated in Aylesbury after a car crashed into a four-storey building.

The crash happened on Putman Street at about 10:45am on 5th October 2026.

Two fire crews from Aylesbury, along with one officer, were called to the scene.

Firefighters checked the driver of the car and an occupant of the flat for injuries, but none were reported.

The car had hit a ground-floor flat, leaving the four-storey building with significant structural damage.

As a precaution, crews evacuated around 10 flats and set up a safety cordon.

Electricity supplies to the affected building were isolated, and a damaged telegraph pole was reported to utility providers for assessment.

An Emergency Planning Officer and Building Control also attended the scene.

Firefighters assisted specialist agencies while the building was assessed and temporarily secured using structural support equipment.
