Firearms and kilos of drugs seized in Bedfordshire
More than 12 kilograms of suspected Class A drugs were found
Three firearms and several kilograms of Class A have been seized in the last week, as part proactive efforts to tackle serious and organised crime in Bedfordshire.
Officers stopped a vehicle in a Bedford car park in the early hours of Wednesday morning (23 July), leading to the discovery of suspected Class A drugs.
The subsequent search of a property linked to the vehicle resulted in the recovery of three viable firearms and further drugs.
A man in his 20s has now been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
