Fifth teenager charged with murder following Bedford stabbing

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after Thomas Taylor was fatally stabbed in Bedford last week.

A 17-year-old has become the fifth teenager charged with the murder of Thomas Taylor, who died after being stabbed in Bedford last week.

Thomas, aged 17, was fatally wounded in Greenhill Street, Bedford, at around 5.50pm on Wednesday, 8 January.

Yesterday, a 17-year-old boy was charged with murder and has been remanded into custody.

Four other teenagers have already been charged in connection with the incident. Two others, who were arrested and later released on bail, will face no further action.

A post-mortem examination conducted on Tuesday, 14 January, determined Thomas’s preliminary cause of death to be stab wounds.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are appealing for information.
