Police launch appeal after two men killed in M1 crash near Newport Pagnell

Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash on the southbound carriageway of the M1 early on Sunday morning.

The incident happened shortly after 2.40am between junctions 14 and 13 on the southbound M1, and involved just one vehicle.

Emergency services responded, but, two men in their 30s were pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Ben Heath from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the families of the two men who lost their lives in this tragic incident.

“This was a very serious incident, and we would urge anyone who may have seen this vehicle prior to the collision, or who has dashcam footage that could help us establish the full circumstances, to get in touch.”
