Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the A505 near Royston that claimed the lives of two people.

The crash occurred at around 11.30pm on Friday, 21st November, near the junction with Cat Ditch Road. It involved two vehicles, a motorcycle and a car.

Emergency services attended the scene, but the motorcycle’s rider and pillion passenger sadly died from their injuries.

Sergeant Luke Jenkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this difficult time.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this collision, and I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to please get in touch.

“If you saw the collision or saw either of the vehicles travelling in the area prior to it, please get in contact with us.

“If you were driving in the area around the time specified and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please review the footage and upload anything that you believe could assist with our investigation.”
