Explosions reported as fire breaks out near Leagrave petrol station, locals say
People nearby say the flames are close to homes and police are keeping roads closed while crews deal with the fire

It is reported that people in Luton have heard loud explosions after a fire broke out behind the Jet petrol garage in Leagrave.
The fire has forced roads to close, including the M1, Oakley Road and High Street.
Firefighters were called to a blaze on High Street in Luton at 10:34am, involving both an outbuilding and a residential property. The fire has now been successfully extinguished, according to Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Although the flames have been put out, fire crews remain at the scene carrying out damping down operations. Authorities have indicated they are likely to stay in the area for some time to ensure the site is fully secured.
A total of seven fire appliances attended the incident, with crews deployed from Kempston, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, and Stopsley community fire stations.

- M1 from Bridge End
- Oakley Road
- Leagrave High Street
- Mayne Avenue
- Broxley Mead
Drivers and pedestrians are being advised to avoid the area while emergency services continue their work.
A fire investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the blaze. Authorities have not yet released further details.
Officials have confirmed that a petrol station located close to the scene was not impacted by the fire.
Both police and fire services are urging members of the public to continue avoiding the Leagrave area to allow emergency responders to operate safely and efficiently.
No injuries have yet been reported.
