Community representatives in Dacorum have come together with police to engage in open discussions about local issues at the first Community Safety and Engagement Board (CSEB).

Organised by the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), the forum included Community Advisors, police officials, and partner agencies to share insights and address concerns impacting the area.

Topics covered in the forum ranged from stop and search practices and violence against women and girls, to cuckooing, burglary, and the illegal use of e-scooters, with the public playing an active role in driving these discussions.

The meeting aimed to enhance understanding of the legal framework and policing efforts while fostering positive relations between police forces and the communities they serve.

Dacorum Neighbourhood Inspector Neil Canning, who chaired the forum, stated that CSEBs are vital in cultivating collaboration and improving community safety across Dacorum.

Inspector Canning noted, “Our first meeting saw a number of concerns being raised and we are already working to provide reassurance and address these.”

Community Advisors continue to serve as key links between police and the public, assisting the constabulary in understanding the diverse needs and experiences within Hertfordshire.
