Cyclist seriously injured in Dunton crash

Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious collision today (Wednesday).

Officers were called at around 11.30am to reports a car had collided with a pushbike on Sutton Lane, Dunton.

The car left prior to police arriving.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.

Detective Sergeant Shona Birkby, from Bedfordshire Police’s Serious Collision Unit, said: “This was a serious incident that has left a man needing hospital treatment.

“We know someone out there has information that could help us piece together what happened.

“If you saw anything, stopped to help, or have CCTV or dashcam footage, please come forward."
