The man was reportedly bitten by a small dog before an altercation with a man on a boat
Police are searching for a man after a cyclist was reportedly bitten on the calf by a small dog before being assaulted on a boat in Croxley Green.
The incident happened near Common Moor Lock in Lavrock Lane at around 11am on Thursday 10 September.
Police say the cyclist was riding along the towpath when the dog bit him.
An argument then followed with a man on a boat, during which the cyclist was reportedly assaulted.
PC Christian Gottmann, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully the cyclist was not seriously injured during the incident, but it was a very stressful ordeal for him.
“Since the incident was reported, we’ve visited the area several times to try and trace a suspect, who reportedly speaks with an English accent, but have so far had no luck.
“We are therefore appealing to the public for any information which may assist us. If you saw what happened or believe you may be able to help us identify a suspect, please get in touch. Thank you.”
